New Lock. Old Lock. Broken Lock. We Fix It.
Lock installation, replacement, and repair for residential doors — done right, priced fair, no locksmith markup.
The Everyday Lock Work Every Home Eventually Needs
Locks wear out. Door hardware gets old, loose, or just ugly. A new home means you want your own locks on the doors. A rental turnover means the last tenant’s hardware has to go. These are straightforward jobs — and they don’t need a specialist with an emergency service charge to do them.
We install, replace, and repair residential door locks and hardware. Deadbolts, knobs, levers, entry sets, strike plates — the standard hardware that keeps your home secure and your doors working properly. We’ll tell you honestly whether something needs repairing or replacing, and we won’t upsell you on hardware you don’t need.
- Deadbolt installation — single and double cylinder
- Doorknob and lever set installation and replacement
- Entry handleset and lockset replacement
- Door strike plate installation and reinforcement
- Lock repair — loose, stiff, or misaligned latch or bolt
- Full door hardware replacement (front door, back door, interior)
- Lock change when moving into a new home or rental
When to Fix a Lock vs. When to Replace It
Not every problem needs a new lock. Here’s how we think about it when we look at a door.
🔧 Repair It
If the lock cylinder turns but the latch or bolt doesn’t seat cleanly — or the knob is loose but the mechanism is intact — that’s usually a repair. We tighten, adjust, lubricate, or realign. A misaligned strike plate causes most “stiff door” complaints and takes 20 minutes to fix properly.
Best for: Stiff bolt, loose knob, door that doesn’t latch easily, misaligned strike plate
🔒 Replace It
When the lock is damaged, worn through, low-security, or simply old hardware you want gone — full replacement makes more sense. Moving into a new home or turning over a rental unit are also good reasons to swap hardware even if the existing locks still function.
Best for: Damaged lock, security upgrade, new home, rental turnover, cosmetic update
